My model and our work:
We're not fixing, we're supporting!
The main goal of this model is to help you connect with your child. That starts first with reframing the way you see your child, to meet them where they are - that in itself is an intervention. Through my observations, analysis, and caregiver report you will learn how to be 'detectives' and 'navigators' to get through the hards stuff and create space for more enjoyable times.
The success of this model depends on the committment to homework from the caregiver(s). You can do it!
You’ll leave with:
A clearer understanding of your child’s development
Understanding how to connect with your child by meeting them where they are
Insights into your own needs as a caregiver
Practical tools and strategies to better connect with your child
Personalized support—from an OT who’s also a parent
Logistics:
We'll start with a free discovery call to ensure we’re the right fit for each other. If I’m not the best match, I will help guide you to someone who is.
If we move forward, you can choose from two different consultation packages (see rates page). They both include Zoom sessions with caregivers only - children should not be present. The number of follow-ups depends on your chosen package.
To schedule, email me at info@robynhermanot.com. You’ll receive an intake form via Google Doc, due at least 48 hours before your session. I may request short videos or photos to better understand your child’s needs.
During our Zoom sessions, I’ll share tailored observations, answer questions, suggest targeted activities, and provide relevant resources. Optional add-ons include extra caregiver sessions and in-person observations with your child at home, at school or at an extracurricular activity.
Payment (via Zelle or Venmo) is due at least 24 hours before your consultation.
What I don't do:
Robyn Herman Occupational Therapy does not provide formal evaluations, write ups, diagnoses and does not provide ongoing direct therapy services. Please speak to your pediatrician if you have any medical concerns. I would be happy to make recommendations should if you're looking for a direct. OT therapist rather than a consultation and family education. My goal is to support your family!
Robyn Herman Occupational Therapy believes that every caregiver should have access to the support they need for their child. If you need support but these packages are not accessible to you, please reach out. Let's figure something out together.
